A guided process for preparing Interview data files to upload onto the Beehive AI platform.

Interview data defined:

Interview Data: Interview data is collected through structured or unstructured conversations with individuals to gather detailed insights, opinions, and experiences on various topics.

When uploaded in a data file, Interview data may include:

  • Moderated interview responses: Data collected from interviews conducted with an interviewer guiding the process.

  • Unmoderated interview responses: Data collected from interviews where the interviewee responds without real-time guidance from an interviewer.


Getting Started

If you have Interview data that you would like to upload to Beehive AI's platform, there are some steps you need to take beforehand to ensure that your data is ingested properly. Using this guide will enable you to more swiftly upload your data and initiate advanced AI analysis!

VTT files

Essential elements for successful parsing of your VTT Interview data:

Zoom

Uploading a VTT file export from Zoom? Follow these instructions to ensure a smooth upload.

  1. In the navigation menu, click Recordings.

  2. Click the name of the recorded meeting. You will see a list of recording files.

  3. Download the VTT file listed there.

  4. Upload the VTT file, as is, to your Beehive AI Connections page

Zoom Audio transcripts are saved in VTT format, and are formatted like the example below.

Dovetail

Uploading a VTT file export from Dovetail? Follow these instructions to ensure a smooth upload.

You can download a transcript from a note as a VTT file.

  • To do this, open the note containing the transcript that you'd like to download and select Actions (路路路) menu at the top of the transcript.

  • From there, select Download transcript.

  • Upload the VTT file, as is, to your Beehive AI Connections page

Dovetail transcripts are saved in VTT format, and are formatted like the example below.

Other Platforms

Uploading a VTT file from any other platform? To format your VTT file correctly for ingestion by our platform, please follow these guidelines. Ensure that each element is placed on a new line as specified below:

  1. Line Number: (optional)

    • Start each segment with a sequential line number.

    • Ensure each line number is unique and incremented by one.

  2. Timecode: (optional)

    • On a new line, provide the timecode for the segment in the format HH:MM:SS,SSS --> HH:MM:SS,SSS to indicate when the segment starts and ends.

    • Use commas to separate milliseconds (e.g., 00:00:00,050).

  3. Participant Label:

    • On a new line, clearly label the participant (e.g., "Moderator:", "Participant 1:", etc.).

    • Place a colon immediately after the participant label with no space (e.g., "Moderator:").

  4. Dialogue:

    • Write the dialogue of the participant immediately after the participant label.

    • Ensure there is a space after the colon before the dialogue begins.
