What are Weighted Metrics?
Imagine that you have a product that is used equally as often by people ages 18-24 and people ages 65+. However, when your analyze your research data relating to this product, you find that 70% of your respondents were 65 and older, and 30% were ages 18-24. If you were to present these results as collected, they would skew in favor of the 65+ age group's answers (even though they are only about 16-20% of the target demographic).
"Weighted Metrics" refer to statistical adjustments that are made to a data-set (after collection) in order to bring the data closer to actual/real distributions in a given population/demographic. In Beehive AI Dashboards, "Weighted Metrics" allow you to change the weights of variable fields, to ensure that the data in your Dashboard(s) will reflect your targeted demographics.
Some popular "Weighted Metrics" values are...
Age: Weighing the data to best fit the "Age" demographic in a specific country/region.
Gender: Weighing the data to best fit the "Gender" demographic in a specific country/region.
